That's it. I just moved to Portland, and I'm eager to get in a round in my new surroundings. Thanks for whatever ya know.

Thu, July 26, 2007 - 5:24 PMIt's been a few years but as I recall, the Estacada course was pretty cool.

Re: Anyone know the courses in PDX?
Sun, October 7, 2007 - 8:14 PManyone played the course along 30 near goble?
i was driving by and admiring the marshy park near the river and saw a couple pins. as far as i can tell pdga.com doesn't have a listing for it. but the scenery is nice.
9 hole or 18?

Re: Anyone know the courses in PDX?
Mon, December 3, 2007 - 9:43 AMPier Park in N. PDX is very popular, and pretty nice, but because it's one of the few actually in the city limits, it can be crowded, and tends to draw a few new golfers not familiar with course etiquette, like not driving until the group ahead has cleared the basket.
I like both Timber and McIver, near Estacada. McIver is a nicer park, however, but is really wide open, and I like more technical stuff.
Dabney is my favorite. The most challenging course in this area.
Rooster Rock is pretty fun, but the weather can be tough sometimes (wind)
Rockwood is a small, simple nine that's fun and easy to get to (off 181st & Stark)
I've not play the Lunchtime course in SW PDX, or Haig Lake.
Champoeg is also nice, but pretty muddy, and no elevation changes.
Farther south, Whistler's Bend in Roseburg is my favorite course in all of Oregon.
the course in Kennewick, WA is really fun, too. But the Columbia river will swallow a disk or 2. -

Re: Anyone know the courses in PDX?
Mon, December 17, 2007 - 7:01 AMRight on! Thanks!
Since my initial post I've played a little around town. Pier is definitely nice. I played Lunchtime a couple weeks ago; it lives up to its name; you can play it under 45 minutes (without others holding it up and with basic familiarity). There's some simple, yet deceptive holes.
